Portraiture

I find people fascinating, so I often find myself working on self-directed projects involving portraiture.

Many of these images are drawn from two such long-term projects: The first, called To Be Seen, examines the notions of beauty and identity as a woman aged 40 and older in American society, and combines portraiture with handwritten statements. The second features women motorcyclists, and through portraits and video explores the joy, camaraderie, and challenges of going against stereotype to engage in a fulfilling activity.

The remainder are commissions or just for fun.
