The Spellbinding City explores our relationship to the constructed environment both public and personal. In particular, the images invoke a sense of alienation; but also of exploration, mystery, and magic, through open-ended tableaus. I employ specific lighting and composition methods – but no extreme digital manipulation – to give the image familiarity and believability in pursuit of that compelling line between truth and fiction.
